Axoft closed an oversubscribed $55M Series A on April 29, 2026. C.P. Group Innovation led. Alumni Ventures, Stanford President's Venture Fund, Hillhouse Investment and Gaorong Ventures participated. Total funding now exceeds $60M.
The implant is built from Fleuron, a polymer Axoft says is up to 10,000 times softer than the polyimide in existing implantable brain-computer interfaces. The company reports 11 or more patients implanted across trials, including the first four cases of its FINESSE study. Mass General Brigham is a clinical collaborator. CEO Paul Le Floch said the money funds expanded global trials, US regulatory work and a GMP manufacturing facility in Boston. Building GMP capacity at Series A is early. It signals Axoft intends to make its own probes rather than outsource them.
