Stryker agreed on September 1, 2026 to acquire ZuriMED, the Zurich company behind the FiberLocker rotator cuff augmentation patch FDA cleared in late 2024 under K241219. Terms were not disclosed.
Enovis signed a binding offer on September 1, 2026 to acquire Grenoble surgical robotics company eCential Robotics for 155 million euros, plus up to 35 million euros in milestone payments. The deal is expected to close at the end of 2026.
iRhythm Technologies agreed on August 10, 2026 to acquire VitalConnect, maker of the VitalPatch wearable monitor, for $287.5 million. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026 and gives iRhythm the parts of the mobile cardiac telemetry market its Zio devices do not reach.
Medtronic completed its acquisition of SPR Therapeutics on July 17, 2026, paying $650 million in cash for the maker of the Sprint peripheral nerve stimulation system. The deal, announced May 20, is Medtronic's third device acquisition of 2026.
DePuy Synthes agreed on July 16, 2026 to acquire Expanding Innovations, whose expandable interbody cages for lumbar fusion lock without screws. Terms were not disclosed. The buyer plans to pair the implants with its Velys robot.
Stereotaxis completed its acquisition of French vascular robotics company Robocath on July 9, 2026: $20 million in cash upfront and up to $25 million more in milestones tied to regulatory approvals and commercial targets, including FDA clearance of Robocath's next-generation system.
Resmed completed its $340 million acquisition of Noctrix Health on June 1, 2026. Noctrix makes Nidra, a wearable nerve stimulation device for restless legs syndrome that FDA authorized through De Novo DEN220059 in 2023.
Olympus agreed on May 26, 2026 to acquire Israel's BioProtect for $270 million. BioProtect's biodegradable balloon spacer protects healthy tissue during prostate cancer radiation therapy and has been used in more than 11,000 procedures since its 2023 launch.
Stryker agreed on April 13, 2026 to acquire Amplitude Vascular Systems, then disclosed in a May 11 SEC filing that the deal is worth up to $835 million: about $435 million in cash plus up to $400 million in milestones. The Waltham company's Pulse IVL system is still investigational.
