Boston Scientific said on September 11 that manufacturing, order fulfillment and shipping are fully restored, 17 days after the August 25 cyberattack. Distribution is running at or above normal capacity while the company clears backlog. Some customers may still see delays.

CEO Mike Mahoney described the scope at the Wells Fargo healthcare conference the same day. All plants and distribution centers were shut down globally, he said. On the revenue hit, he said some hospitals likely ordered from others during that time and that it is hard to pinpoint the exact dollar amount at this point. The company told investors on September 8 it will probably miss third quarter and full year guidance.

Boston Scientific is working with CrowdStrike and says it has found no evidence of ongoing threat activity, or of compromise to its systems or products, since containment on August 25. Figures come on the October 28 earnings call. The recoverable part was the network. The part that does not come back is the order a hospital placed with somebody else.
