Cognito Therapeutics closed an oversubscribed $105M Series C on March 5, 2026. Morningside Ventures, IAG Capital Partners and Starbloom Capital co-led. New Vintage, Apollo Health Ventures and Benvolio Group also took part. The Cambridge, MA company raised a $73M Series B less than three years earlier.

Spectris is a physician-prescribed device used at home. It delivers gamma frequency light and sound stimulation to people with Alzheimer's disease. FDA granted the device Breakthrough Device designation in January 2021. The HOPE trial (NCT05637801), which will support the FDA submission, is fully enrolled, and the company expects top-line data later in 2026.

CEO Christian Howell said the money funds the regulatory filing, launch readiness and a market entry planned for 2027. The company also plans to test the platform in other neurodegenerative diseases. Raising $105M before the confirmatory data reads out is unusual for a device company. This syndicate is pricing the HOPE readout itself.
