Cordance Medical raised more than $8 million in an oversubscribed seed round announced November 24, 2025. Sonder Capital led. Shanda Grab Ventures, Angel Physician's Fund, SmartGateVC, R42, the Sontag Foundation Innovation Fund and the National Brain Tumor Society's Brain Tumor Investment Fund joined.

The Mountain View, California company is building a focused ultrasound system that temporarily opens the blood-brain barrier so drugs and biomarkers can cross. It is designed to work without head fixation or live imaging during treatment, which is what makes an outpatient workflow plausible. FDA granted Breakthrough Device designation in neuro-oncology. Proceeds fund a first-in-human U.S. trial with support from the National Cancer Institute. Sonder Capital also led Jupiter Endovascular's Series B in October, its second lead in a device round in two months.
