Elucid closed an oversubscribed $55M Series D, announced September 2, 2026. The round brings total funding to about $185M. A large, unnamed publicly traded medtech company joined as the fourth public strategic investor on the cap table. IAG Capital Partners and Elevage Medical Technologies, the platform created by Patient Square Capital, also invested. No lead was named.
PlaqueIQ analyzes coronary CT angiography to quantify plaque composition, including the highest-risk plaque type, in coronary and carotid arteries. FDA cleared it under K241524 on September 12, 2024, a traditional 510(k) with product code LLZ. It is the fourth clearance under the Elucid Bioimaging name. Earlier ones covered vascuCAP (K163071 in 2017, K183012 in 2018) and ElucidVivo A.3 (K221463 in 2022). A 510(k) for BioIntegrated FFR-CT, which estimates fractional flow reserve from the same scan, is under FDA review.
CEO Kelly Huang said the money funds commercial expansion, AI research and clinical studies. Four public medtech strategics on one private cap table gives Elucid several exit paths and its board a lot of interests to manage.
