Galvanize Therapeutics closed a $100 million Series C on September 3, 2025. Sofinnova Partners led the oversubscribed round. New investors included Norwest Venture Partners, Elevage Medical Technologies, Ally Bridge Group, Perceptive Xontogeny Venture Fund, Janus Henderson Investors and Longaeva. Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, Gilmartin Capital, Intuitive Surgical and founding investor Apple Tree Partners returned. The round matches the $100 million Series B from 2022 and takes total funding to about $200 million.

The Redwood City, California company sells the Aliya pulsed electric field system, which FDA cleared under K212871 in June 2022 for soft tissue ablation. Aliya uses short, non-thermal electrical pulses, and Galvanize is studying it in solid tumors, including lung. Its second program, RheOx, applies the same energy inside the airway for chronic bronchitis and remains investigational.

The money came with a leadership change. Doug Godshall, who ran Shockwave Medical and HeartWare International, became chairman and CEO. Co-founder Jonathan Waldstreicher moved to president and chief strategy officer. Board seats went to Antoine Papiernik of Sofinnova, Zack Scott of Norwest and David Lewis of Gilmartin. A Series C that installs a repeat commercial CEO is a round priced for a launch.
