Hurotics raised 25 billion won, about $18.8 million, in a Series A led by Atinum Investment. The Korean company announced the round on October 15, taking cumulative funding past 33.5 billion won. The proceeds go to overseas regulatory approvals for its H-Medi exosuit and to developing and manufacturing a consumer walking aid called H-Care.
H-Medi is a cable and tendon driven soft exosuit for gait rehabilitation, worn like clothing and certified by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as a Class II combination device. It has been in commercial use since September 2025 at Sinchon Severance Hospital, Chung-Ang University Hospital and Korea University Hospital. The University of Illinois Chicago took delivery in June 2026 for stroke rehabilitation research and physical therapist training.
Founder Lee Kiwook teaches mechanical engineering at Chung-Ang University and started the company in July 2022. Strategic money came from Daewoong, Naver and Lotte, alongside returning investors Stonebridge Ventures, Industrial Bank of Korea, AJU IB Investment and Wonik Investment Partners. A Korean Class II certificate does not travel, so the US and European filings this round pays for are what decide whether H-Medi becomes more than a domestic product.
