Hypervision Surgical closed a £17M Series A, about $23M, on April 29, 2026. Heal Capital led. Angelini Ventures, IP Group, Daycrest, the SINC Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support joined. HERAN Partners, Redalpine, LifeX Ventures and ZEISS Ventures followed on from the £6.5M seed round of June 2023.
The King's College London spinout sells HyperSnap, a hyperspectral camera system. It shows tissue composition and blood oxygenation during open and minimally invasive general surgery. FDA cleared the HyperSnap Surgical System under K250268 on June 24, 2025, as a traditional 510(k). FDA assigned it product code SFE, a new code for AI or ML-based real-time video augmentation in endoscopic and open surgical imaging. The system also holds UKCA certification.
CEO Michael Ebner said the funds go to commercial deployment, clinical adoption and next-generation sensing developed with imec. Being first into a product code means later entrants may cite you as the predicate. That is a durable position for a Series A company.
