NeuroGyn said on October 13 that it closed a CHF 4M Series A. A Swiss institutional investor active in medical technology led the round, with private investors alongside, and the company named neither. Proceeds go to starting human clinical studies, regulatory development and the path toward commercialization.
PosStim is built around genital nerve stimulation, a minimally invasive approach to pelvic neuromodulation from Marc Possover, the pelvic nerve surgeon who founded the Zug company. Overactive bladder is the first target, and the release names pelvic pain and male erectile dysfunction as later applications that would each need their own clinical evaluation. The platform is investigational, is not approved and is not for sale. CHF 4M buys a first in human study rather than a registrational one, so another round should come before any submission.
