Stereotaxis completed its acquisition of Robocath on July 9, 2026, a deal announced on April 15. Stereotaxis paid $20 million in cash upfront and will pay up to $25 million more in milestone payments tied to regulatory approvals and commercial metrics, including FDA clearance of Robocath's next-generation system.
Robocath, founded in 2009 in France by CEO Philippe Bencteux, sells the R-One+ robot for percutaneous coronary intervention in Europe and China and is developing a system that would manipulate up to five interventional devices at once. Stereotaxis brings GenesisX, cleared by FDA in November 2025 for ablation procedures, the MAGiC catheter and the Synchrony digital operating room.
The companies say the combination accelerates robotic technologies for electrophysiology, interventional cardiology and neurointervention, with U.S. and European submissions planned within two years. Note the structure: a small upfront, most of the value in milestones, and an FDA clearance the target had not yet earned written into the price.
