UltraSight raised $24 million in a Series B2 led by the Alive HealthTech Grow Fund. Mayo Clinic Ventures, NYU, Iron Nation, Deep Insight, Star51 Capital, Connecticut Innovations and eHealth Ventures also took part.
UltraSight sells software that runs on ultrasound machines a clinic already owns. Its Ecosystem platform walks a nurse or medical assistant through a focused echocardiogram, then routes the images and analytics back to the cardiology team. More than 10 commercial sites had it in workflow as of September.
CEO Davidi Vortman said the cleared portfolio keeps widening to cover more cardiac imaging workflows. The round funds US commercial expansion and new software for intensive care and circulatory support settings. Two clearances in different care settings is what lets a guidance vendor sell one contract to a health system instead of one department.
