Catheter Precision takes LockeT past Brazil after six hospitals start using it

Catheter Precision is pushing LockeT into Argentina, Chile, Colombia and other Latin American markets. Six Brazilian hospitals have taken up the device since the country launch, sold through distributor Ablacor.

LockeT is a suture retention device for closing wounds after percutaneous venous puncture. It holds a Class 1 FDA registration in the US and a CE mark. Catheter Precision is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina and trades on NYSE American as VTAK. The company gave no revenue or unit figures.

A Class 1 registration means no 510(k) and a cheap regulatory path, which is how a company this size chases four countries at once. The binding constraint is distribution, not clearance, and six hospitals is where that gets tested.
