adsilico raised 10 million pounds in a Series A led by PXN Ventures. Existing investors Northern Gritstone and Parkwalk followed on. The University of Leeds spinout was founded in 2024 by Sheena Macpherson, Nishant Ravikumar and Zeike Taylor, and works out of the university's Nexus innovation hub.

The Virtual Chimera platform builds virtual hearts and blood vessels from anonymised clinical scans using generative AI, then runs physics-based simulations of how an implant behaves. Customers are device manufacturers testing valves, stents and other implants before they commit to a clinical trial. Next on the list are flow diverters for brain aneurysms.

adsilico points at a JAMA Internal Medicine review of 195 high-risk implant trials in which women made up 33 percent of participants overall and 29 percent in cardiovascular trials. Virtual cohorts can be built to any demographic mix. Headcount goes from 14 to 34 on this round.

For a startup budgeting a submission, computational evidence supports a filing rather than replacing clinical data. The near-term return is cheaper design iteration before the bench and animal work starts.
